Welcome to LookieLooo

My name is Kimberley and I’m a lookie loo.  I love everything about real estate and while I might make a purchase, I’m usually looking for fun.

Growing up, Sunday drives with my parents always included a stop at an open house (or three) to take a look around.  While most kids would have dreaded going on the “Sunday drive”, I loved it. There was something about looking at homes that was pure magic.  I would walk thru each house, imaging not only my life, but also those of the surrounding neighbors.  “Which room would be mine? How would we decorate? Would we have a pool? Would my best friend live next door?” To this day, my parents still will head out on a Sunday drive and I would bet my bottom dollar they make a stop or two at an open house.

I continued this tradition as I grew, although with the Internet, the “drive” moved online.  From tear downs to flips, existing homes, and new builds, everything was interesting in some way or another.  I appreciate the architecture, decorating styles, and outside spaces. I think about the opportunity for change. And again imagine what it would be like to live there.

Think I’m alone in my interest in real estate? Not a chance.  Check any home, anywhere online and you’ll see the number of times it’s been viewed.  And while some of those people may be buyers, a large percentage are not. They are there for the same reason I am; the magic that is imaging life in a new place.

I’ve long looked for a site that could serve as my one-stop source of information -- everything from market insight, to homes that make me swoon, cool design, and both interior and exterior inspiration. Today I'm excited to start LookieLooo.  Join me as I explore new neighborhoods and the homes that line the streets.
